Annotation:

The theme is set as part of the political philosophy of the Anthropocene. It focuses on the problem of democracy and the changes in the understanding of democracy in politics and in public (social) consciousness. It will introduce the main theories of democracy today (political liberal democracy, agonistic democracy, post-democracy, deliberative democracy, economic democracy, transcultural democracy, etc.) and on this basis it will deal with the phenomenon of social and individual insecurity as a defining characteristic of contemporary society. In searching for the roots of insecurity, it will focus on the economic and political theory and practice of neoliberalism. The contribution of the thesis lies in the formulation of its own expert opinion on the possibilities of overcoming environmental uncertainty. Knowledge of English and German is essential.
